My name is Marc Doesburg. I was born and live in Ōtepoti Dunedin, Aotearoa New Zealand, a son of Dutch immigrants. I grew up in a number of cities there and lived in the Netherlands and Germany in the 1980s.
My images are an attempt to create order in line, tone and visual rhythm. The works illustrate the ordinary but suggest a wider narrative, inviting interpretation. They are an expression of spontaneous discovery rather than pre-visualisation.
